GOAL - Iranian international Masoud Shojaei appears to be on his way out of La Liga outfit Osasuna after the Spanish side have told Shojaei that he's no longer needed at the club, according to a report in Noticias de Navarra.

The 25-year-old midfielder joined Osasuna from Al-Sharjah in the summer of 2008 and has since made over 60 league appearances for the Spanish side. Head coach Jose Antonio Camacho has now deemed Shojaei surplus to requirements though.

The report suggests that UAE side Al-Sharjah are eager to re-sign the attacking midfielder, but Shojaei prefers to stay in Europe and has set his sights on a move to England or Germany.

Shojaei's current contract with Osasuna runs until the summer of 2011, but the Spanish side could very well decide to let go of the Iranian international on a free transfer this summer.
