FIFA - Sepahan restored their three-point advantage at the top of the Iran Pro League despite surprisingly being held to a 1-1 draw at home to lowly Foolad.

After second-placed Zob-Ahan had drawn at Persepolis, the leaders were on course to pull away at the top of the table after Seyed Jalal Hosseini had put them in front after 31 minutes. However, Siamak Sarlak levelled three minutes later to claim a much-needed point for the visitors, who had Javad Shirzad sent off towards the end.

Bottom side Abumoslem also snatched a point against Shahin as Gabriel's 85th-minute goal cancelled out Hamid Reza Soleimani's strike in the 72nd minute, while Saipa and Esteghlal and Steel Azin and Rah Ahan also played out 1-1 draws.

Farhad Kheirkhah's goal three minutes after the break sealed a 1-0 win for Teraktakor over Peykan, Jalal Rafkhaei scored the only goal of the game as Malavan defeated Moghavemat while Mes and Saba Battery ended goalless. Finally, Roozbeh Shahalidoost helped Pas-Hamedan to a 1-0 win at Est-Ahvaz.
