This was Ali Daei’s first match as Persepolis football coach. The Tehran-based club defeated Hatta 1-0 at the Al-Nasr Stadium. Mohammad Parvin scored Persepolis’ sole goal in the 60th minute.
Persepolis is scheduled to play Qatar’s seven-time champion Al Rayyan on Sunday.
Persepolis, which is currently in a training camp in the UAE, sits third in the Iran Professional League behind Sepahan and Zob Ahan both from Isfahan.
