MNA - Steel Azin football club announced Ali Karimi will stay in the team and will not join Persepolis for the second half of the season.
Karimi was believed to move back to his former club, but Steel Azin dismissed the reports claiming the “wizard of Tehran” will not return to Persepolis.

“Steel Azin will keep all its players up to the end of the season in order to win first place of the Iran Professional league. We respect Persepolis but cannot hand over our essential players to that team,” Steel Azin reported on their website on Sunday.

Steel Azin is fourth in the Iran Professional League standings with 27 points behind Sepahan, Zob Ahan and Esteghlal.
