PTV - Iranian teenagers will face a rival from South America at round 16 of the Under-17 World Cup in Nigeria after top placement in Group C.

Saving seven points from three matches in the first round of the tournament, the Asian champions will play with Uruguay from Group E, on Thursday.

Earlier on Saturday, the Iranian squad defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in a landmark victory in the history of Iranian soccer.

In other matches in the knock-out stage, the host country Nigeria will tackle New Zealand and Spain will face Burkina Faso on Thursday.

On Wednesday, an all-South American clash between Argentina and Colombia will take place.

Italy against the US, Turkey against the UAE, Mexico gainst South Korea, and Switzerland against Germany are other matches of this stage.

Three-time winner Brazil has lost the rest of the competition like the Netherlands.
