MNA - Steel Azin football team fought back from a 0-1 defeat to a 2-1 victory over Persepolis here at the Azadi Stadium on Saturday.
In the match played in front of about 30,000 spectators in the 15th week of the Iran Professional League, Hawar Mulla Mohammed gave Persepolis a lead in the 12th minute with a spectacular free kick.

Mohammad Gholami equalized the match in the 30th minute. He received a long ball from Steel Azin’s captain Ali Karimi in the space between Persepolis’ defenders and opened the goal.

Karimi also set up the winning goal in the injury time. He sent a free kick on Persepolis’ goal line and Afshin Chavoshi took advantage of goal keeper Alireza Haghighi’s blunder and headed the ball into the goal.  

Ali Karimi was sent off by referee Masoud Moradi after protesting to his judgment in awarding a free kick outside the penalty box to the rival team in the added time.
