“I am not satisfied with our performance against Nepal. We should have beat them with more than three goals,” said Akbar Mohammadi in the post match news conference.
“However, the Iranian players are not under pressure now for two upcoming matches against Lebanon and Bahrain,” Iran’s U-16 coach added.
Iran had been held to a goalless draw by Tajikistan in its opener. Defending champion Iran will play against Lebanon on Sunday.
The AFC U-16 Championship is a football competition organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held once every two years for Asian under-16 teams.
A total of 23 teams have been divided in four groups. The top four teams qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
