PTV - Persepolis thrash Moqavemat 4-2 to move up three spots in Iran's Premier League as the Isfahan derby between Sepahan and Zob Ahan ends in a goalless draw.

The Reds were in their best form since the start of the season as the return of Habib Kashani as the club's new caretaker boosted hopes of ending Persepolis' current crisis.

The dismissal of Abbas Ansarifard from his post as the club's chief executive could not prompt fans to return to Azadi Stadium following Persepolis' 1-1 draw with Esteqlal last week in the Tehran derby, in which both the Reds and the Blues were accused of match-fixing.

The first half ended 1-0 in Persepolis' favor with an early goal by Karim Baqeri.

The Reds thoroughly dominated the second half to score thrice through Hadi Norouzi, Meysam Baou and Hawar Mulla Mohammed.
Behnam Afsheh and Mohammad-Mehdi Nazari's late goals could not prevent Moqavemat's first defeat of the season.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zob Ahan drew 0-0 with Sepahan to lose the chance of claiming the top spot for at least a day.

Zob Ahan remain in the third place with 19 points, on lower goal difference with Esteqlal, which will visit Mes on Wednesday. IPL leaders Peykan will visit Esteqlal Ahvaz on the same day.

The draw helped Sepahan move to the fourth place with 16 points, one point clear of Moqavemat. Persepolis is sixth on level points and lower goal difference with Moqavemat.
