PTV - Persepolis coach Zlatko Kranjcar has asked the club's chief to be dismissed from his post, less than one week before the Tehran Derby.

In a meeting with Persepolis CEO Abbas Ansarifard, Kranjcar said he no longer had any interest in steering the Reds and called for his dismissal.

Ansarifard sacked Kranjcar on Friday after Persepolis' 2-1 loss to Peykan, which pushed down the Reds to the eighth position in Iran's Premier League.

The club's technical committee, however, was opposed to the decision and reinstated the Croatian.

Kranjcar did not attend the Monday training session and it is expected that he will not be on the bench in the Tehran Derby between Persepolis and Esteqlal on October 2.
