The Iranian soccer star netted the winning goal after he converted a penalty in the 55th minute on Sunday night.
The home side was awarded the penalty kick after Masoud Shojaie's attempted cross from the left struck the outstretched hand of Rafael Sastre.
Osasuna could have taken the lead after 33 minutes but Carlos Aranda squandered the great opportunity.
Shojaie, another Iranian player in Osasuna, nearly scored a goal five minutes before the break but the Sporting goalkeeper Juan Pablo Colinas stopped the ball.
The victory has moved Osasuna, coached by Jose Antonio Camacho, to the seventh place in the La Liga table.
