Last season's runner-up defeated Steel Azin 3-1 on Friday to stand in Iran Premier League's (IPL) first place with seven points, pushing down the newly promoted Steel to the fourth place with six points.
The second and third places were filled by Moqavemat and Esteqlal, both of which won their Friday matches and have seven points.
Moqavemat beat Sepahan 3-1 to stand in the second place on goal difference and Esteqlal defeated Foulad 1-0 thanks to Reza Enayati's winner.
In other matches, Saba beat Abumoslem 2-1; Rah Ahan lost 1-0 to Saipa; Peykan thrashed Malavan 4-0; and Shahin lost 4-2 to Teraktor Sazi.
