The two teams were originally scheduled to play two friendlies on October 10 in Tehran and November 14 in Los Angeles, but the U.S. officials have not announced their readiness to hold these two matches.
“We have announced our readiness to hold matches with the U.S. team via letters but have not received any answer yet. In this case the matches will be cancelled,” Ali Kaffashian President of Iran’s Football Federation said.
The official of two teams had reached an agreement in the Bahamas in May to hold two warm-up matches.
