“We have Al Karama from Syria, Al Faisaly from Jordan and Persepolis of Iran coming for the tournament from August 29 to 31. We are one of the teams participating in this event and we hope to make this an annual happening,” Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hasher Al Maktoum said.
“In the same way that Emiratis are fans of clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea and they follow these games, we want residents of the UAE to be associated with local clubs. We are planning to prepare commentaries for league matches in English because broadcasting in English will make viewers feel more connected, give the UAE Football League (UFL) direction and bring greater viewership,” Golfnews quoted Al Maktum as saying.
