After more than a decade, it was necessary to change the content of the show”, Ferdowsipour said in an interview with the IRIB news agency on Saturday.
“But since it has taken a long time to make those changes, the show will be broadcast as soon as possible, as the managers of Iran's Channel Three have emphasized”, he added.
According to the popular host, even the set of the sports program will appear different, with new décor.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) managers have insured that we will review the country's football with the same freedom as before,” he explained.
“90's new series will be clear, frank and will defend rights in football,” Ferdowsipour concluded.
Earlier this year, the sports program fell out of favor with Iran's Football Federation for criticizing the efficiency of the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) and the Physical Education Organization (PEO) in managing Iranian football.
Meanwhile, an SMS poll, which was conducted by the sports show, indicated that over 97 percent of the two million respondents supported “90” while only 3 percent were opposed to the program's policies.
