MNA - Iranian iconic player Ali Karimi who was expected to extend his contract with Persepoilis football club, joined Steel Azin on Wednesday instead.
Karimi penned a one-year contract with the newly-promoted team, but the financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

“I will reveal the behind-the-scene issues one day. Some people didn’t want to see me in Persepolis. I personally didn''t have any problem to stay in my favorite team. I am not going to disclose the matters at the moment,”

“Without a doubt, I will stop wearing the Persepolis jersey,” Karimi added.

“They (Persepolis’ officials) fooled around with me for four weeks. The fans must judge me,” he had said.

The 30-year-old midfielder who retired from the national team last month, has played for Bayern Munich and Al-Ahli of Emirates as well.
