GOAL - Iran international Ferydoon Zandi could be on his way to South Korea.

A leading K-League club is interested in signing the 30 year-old midfielder who is currently plying his trade for Cypriot club Alki Larnaca.

The new Asian ‘three plus one’ rule means that the experienced German-born star could be signed outside of the usual three-foreigner limit.

Zandi, who has spent the majority of his career in Germany, is thought to be keen on the move.

Since Zandi played in the 2006 World Cup, he has been in and out of the Iran national team.

The former Kaiserslautern player was dropped by Ali Daei during qualification for the 2010 and then recalled to the squad for the final three matches by present coach Afshin Ghotbi.
