GOAL - Speaking after their afternoon training session on Tuesday, Iran team manager Mansour Pourheidari assured reporters that all the proper precautions would be taken to ensure a safe stay for the team during their four-day spell in China.

Team Melli are scheduled to leave for China on May 29 in a bid to prepare for their 2010 World Cup qualification match in North Korea a week later.

Concerns have been voiced because of the confirmed cases of the Swine Flu in that country.

“We have carefully planned this trip and are constantly monitoring the situation, and if the situation gets worse, we will cancel the trip,” said Pourheidari.

“Besides, the German national team is scheduled to visit China a few days before we do. If there are any problems, they will sure cancel their trip and if so we’ll know what we should do!”

Pourheidari voiced his satisfaction with the general progress of the training camp held in Tehran this week and told reporters that this phase of training will end at the end of this week.

The team will play a friendly on Friday, after which head coach Afshin Ghotbi will cut the size of the preliminary squad.
