The 25-year-old hasn’t featured of late for Team Melli but he has been named in the preliminary squad for June’s three 2010 World Cup qualifiers by new coach Afshin Ghotbi.
Iran will face North and South Korea as well as UAE in their bid to salvage their dreams of a place in South Africa.
“I spoke with Afshin Ghotbi and we discussed my fitness. I am ready to serve Team Melli”, said Teymourian as he arrived home.
The Fulham player, who spent much of last season on loan to Championship club Barnsley, told reporters that he was satisfied with his situation in England and optimistic about his chances of returning to the Premier League.
When asked about his future with Fulham, he said that he was under contract with the club through next season.
