Iran’s football federation referee committee announced Mohsen Torki will officiate Eseteghlal–Persepolis match, scheduled for February 13 in Tehran's Azadi Stadium.
He will be assisted by Reza Sokhandan and Hassan Kamranifar in the derby.
It’s for the first time after 14 years that an Iranian referee will judge the controversial match.
The Tehran derby was chosen as the most important in Asia and the 22nd important derby in the world on June 2008 by World Soccer Magazine.
