Daei attends FIFA Gala 2008



MNA - Iran football coach Ali Daei attended the FIFA World Player of the Year ceremony which took place at the Zurich Opera House on Monday.

In the ceremony, Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo won the FIFA World Player of the Year award to complete a sweep of the top individual honors for 2008.

The FIFA award is voted by the national team coaches and captains of the 208-member associations of world soccer’s governing body.
 
Both Ali Daei and Iran’s captain Karim Bagheri voted for Argentinan Lionel Messi as the best player of the world.
