PFDC - SEVILLA, Walter Pandiani netted a last-gasp equaliser as Osasuna shared points in a 1-1 draw at Sevilla.

The hosts had two great chances in an otherwise uneventful first half with Frederic Kanouté and Ndri Romaric both going close to break the deadlock. The visitors also had their chances, but Kike Sola and Javad Nekounam were unable to test Andrés Palop from their opportunities.

The opening goal arrived five minutes after the interval when Navas blasted home from outside the box.

Camacho reacted by introducing Masoud Shojaei and it almost paid off immediately.

The Iranian midfielder made a spectacular run dribbling past two defenders but fired over the bar.

Navas almost made it 2-0 five minutes before the final whistle but Roberto had the last word.

In injury time just when everyone though it was over Osasuna grabbed the equaliser. Shojaei sent the ball in front of the goal where "El Rifle" Pandiani redirected the Iranian's effort behind Palop.

In the dying seconds of injury time Kanouté couldn't come closer to score the winner but his shot was blocked by Roberto before hitting the bar.

The Iranian duo of Osasuna had an impact on the match. While Nekounam played the full match and displayed a satysfying performance in midfield, Shojaei played the last 15 minutes and injected creativity in Camacho's men offense. The 24-year old collected his fourth assist of the season.

Osasuna are now three points away from the safe zone. The men from Pamplona will clash against Atletico Bilbao in the Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey next Thursday before hosting FC Barcelona on Sunday.
