PTV - Singapore manager Radojko Avramovic has said Iran's national soccer team would reach the finals of the 2011 Asian Cup in Doha.

"Iran is the main team in the group and they are the favorites to get to the finals," Avramovic said.

"They may have been undergoing some changes but they have done well recently in the World Cup qualifying and seem to have found the right balance in their team," he added.

"They have a number of younger players but they are still one of the best in Asia and should be able to go through," he said.

Singapore, ranked 132 in the latest FIFA rankings, will play against three-time Asian title winner Iran in Group E of the AFC Asian Cup 2011 qualifier on January 14 in Tehran.

Avramovic's men will then host Jordan on 28 January in Singapore before they face Thailand in their third encounter in November 2009.

Each group's top two teams will advance to the finals in 2011 joining the host Qatar as well as the top three finishers in last year's AFC Asian Cup Finals - Iraq, Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
