PTV - Iran's national soccer team manager Ali Daei has been ranked among the most impressive coaches in 2008 according to an online FIFA poll.

Ali Daei, Carlos de los Cobos, Gerardo Martino, Hassan Shehata and Luis Aragones were the five managers who were put to vote in the world governing body's official website.

Hassan Shehata, who led Egypt to championship in 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, was voted the most impressive coach of the year with 34 percent of participants voting for him. El Salvador's Mexican coach de los Cobos was voted the second-most-impressive with about 29 percent.

Seventy-year-old former Spain coach Luis Aragones, who led the Spaniards to the Euro 2008 championship, came third with more than 21 percent.

Daei was voted the fourth most impressive coach in 2008, gaining 9 percent of the vote. He has vowed to lead Iran to its fifth World Cup appearance in South Africa.

Paraguay's Martino came last with about 7 percent. Paraguay currently stands in the first place of its group in the 2010 South America World Cup qualifiers.

The figures show poll results as of December 31, 1430 GMT. Results may further vary as the poll continues.
