GOAL - Iranian star Mehdi Mahdavikia is looking forward to upcoming
2010 World Cup qualification matches against South Korea and Saudi
Arabia.
In a tough and tight Group Two, Iran lie in second with five points from three games.
South Korea are in first with seven while Saudi Arabia and North Korea have four.
A win at home to fellow Asian powerhouses South Korea in February would place Iran at the summit and Kia is confident of doing just that.
“At the moment, Iran’s position is pretty good,” Kia told German media.
“Next year we will play our old enemies South Korea. Also we will play Saudi Arabia at home too.
“If we win these two games then we can almost be sure of a place in the 2010 World Cup.
"Iran is one of Asia’s strong teams and I expect that we will reach the World Cup for a fourth time,” added the Eintracht Frankfurt star.
