Brazil to play 2 futsal friendlies in Iran
MNA - World Cup champion Brazil is to travel to Tehran to play two friendly matches against Iran’s futsal team in March 2009.
“World champion Brazil will compete against Iran on March 10th and 11th at the Azadi Stadium. Following Iran’s good performance at the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Brazil, the team has agreed to come to Iran to play two friendlies without any financial demands,” Iran’s Futsal Committee president said.
Also, Iran will travel to Brazil in June 2009 to participate in the Grand Prix Tournament, Abbas Torabian added.
The spirited Iranians were knocked out of the Futsal World Cup after Italy scored the tying goal in the last 50 seconds in their match to advance to the final four.
