Iranian football legend suspended for one year
MNA - Former Iran striker Khodadad Azizi is suspended from all football activities by Iranian Football Federation’s disciplinary committee for attacking a reporter in Mashhad last week.
At the end of the Payam of Khorasan and Moghavemat of Shiraz match, the vice president of Payam football club assaulted a reporter after a quarrel with him in the Samenolaeme Stadium’s VIP room.
Azizi will not be allowed to participate in any football activities for one year and has been slapped with a $10,000 fine.
Azizi can present his appeal within the next four days.
