Foulad stuns Esteghlal

MNA - Sajjad Feyzollahi’s early goal sealed a valuable away victory for Foulad Khuzestan against Esteghlal in the 15th week of the Iran Professional League (IPL) here at Azadi Stadium on Friday.
Brazilian Luciano Valente sent a ball into Esteghlal’s box in the 6th minute and Feyzollahi’s header passed helpless Esteghlal keeper Vahid Taleblu.

Referee Yadollah Jahanbazi refused Esteghlal’s Ebrahim Taghipour’s goal due to being offside in the 53rd minute.

Foulad’s Sandro Dasilva and Esteghlal coach Samad Marfavi were sent off by the referee in the 90th minute.

It was Esteghlal’s fourth defeat this season. The Tehran-based club remains in third place in the IPL standings, whereas the win elevated Foulad to fourth place.
