PTV - Iran's soccer team will
defeat the UAE with its creative players and technical ability according to
Croat coach Vingo Bergovic.
"Records show that the Iranian squad could always gain a victory over the
UAE due to its players' individual techniques," Begovic said in an interview
with the IRNA news agency on Tuesday.
"But Iran will have a tough match against the United Arab Emirates this
time, since the UAE will have no chance to qualify for the World Cup if it
is defeated," he added.
Begovic confirmed that the Iranian side has a bright future under the
leadership of manager Ali Daei, who has developed the team significantly.
"Both Iran and the UAE desperately need to win Wednesday's match which will
make the game quite interesting," said the Croat coach.
The two teams drew 0-0 in the Iranian capital Tehran in the previous
qualification round.
Iran is competing with Saudi Arabia, North Korea, South Korea and the UAE in
Group B of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
