MNA - Iran’s Spanish-based midfielder Javad Nekounam has been dropped from the latest list of contenders for the AFC Player of the Year accolade on Monday.
A few notable additions are Mark Schwarzer and Travis Dodd of Australia, and Yasuhito Endo of Japan.

The list is being continually revised after each match day and the race to be named the best player of Asia for this year will culminate on November 25 in Shanghai at the Awards Gala, according to AFC.
