MNA - Persepolis football
coach Afshin Ghotbi said on Thursday that the Tehran-based club was the
better team against Moghavemat of Shiraz despite losing the match.
“We missed so many opportunities against Moghavemat. If you don’t score in
any chance you get you will undoubtedly lose the game,” said Ghotbi at the
post-match news conference in Shiraz’s Hafezieh Stadium.
Apologizing for the defeat, he added, “I must say sorry to our fans for this
result. We will have to forget this defeat and concentrate on the upcoming
matches.”
Persepolis must be invigorated to participate in the Asian Champions League
(ACL), the coach added.
Persepolis lost to Moghavemat of Shiraz 1-0 on Thursday in the 13th week of
the Iran Professional League (IPL).
