Karimi said that he will never return to Iran’s national football team.
Asked about his meet with Ali Daei Iran football coach in Persepolis’
dressing room, he stated, “I have already said that I’ve made my decision
about retiring from the national team. I respect Mr. Daei and the national
team and have the best wishes for them”
Speaking after victory against Bargh of Shiraz in the 11th week of the Iran
Professional League, Karimi added, “Bargh is a good team and I congratulate
them on showing a good performance. In whole, Persepolis deservedly won the
match and I am very happy.”
Ali Karimi scored Persepolis’ first goal against Bargh of Shiraz on
Wednesday. The Tehran-based club beat its unbeaten guest 3-1.
