Dariush Mostafavi has given coach Afshin Ghotbi a job guarantee despite
recent defeats in the Iran’s Professional League (IPL).
Speaking in Persepolis’ training camp on Sunday, Mostafavi said, “
Persepolis has no trouble in any position. In my opinion, Ghotbi has no sin
and it is the players’ fault. They (the players) have to listen to their
coach and should be committed to his instructions.”
“Persepolis' players have still a lot to prove and I am sure they can win
the IPL championship once again,” declared Persepolis manager.
“Our future is not black. Two defeats against Abumoslem and Fulad is a
serious warning to all of us,” the former Persepolis player added.”
Persepolis is scheduled to play Bargh of Shiraz on Wednesday in the 11th
week of the Iran’s Professional League.
The team is placed sixth with 15 points, six points clear at the top of the
IPL.
