Majlis speaker felicitates Iran's junior football team on victory

IRNA - Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a message felicitated national junior football team on its victory in the Asian Youth Football Championship.

According to the report by Majlis Media Department on Saturday, Larijani said in his message, "Attaining the position of championship in the Asian Youth Football Games is an indication of our young children abilities and determination."

Iran's junior football team defeated South Korea in the finals on Saturday by 2-1 and qualified for 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup Football Championship to be held in Nigeria.

Japan, United Arab Emirates and South Korea also qualified for the event.
