MNA - Persepolis striker Ali
Karimi has been summoned to Iran’s National Team on Wednesday, following a
superb performance in Iran’s Professional League (IPL).
The Persepolis newcomer scored a late goal in Tehran’s derby and rescued his
team in the important game last week.
Elsewhere, he celebrated a hat trick against Abumoslem in Mashhad on
Wednesday despite Persepolis’ loss of 4-3 to its rock bottom rival.
Maziar Zare and Pejman Nuri have also been invited to the national team by
coach Ali Daei.
Iran is scheduled to play North Korea in Tehran’s Azadi stadium on October
15 in the 2010 World Cup qualifications.
