GOAL - Osasuna’s Iranian
midfielder star Javad Nekounam is ready to take more responsibility on the
pitch to help the Pamplona outfit establish themselves as a force in Spain.
Now in his third season in La Liga, Nekounam has scored one goal in the
opening two draws against Villarreal and Mallorca. He wants more.
"We have tried to win the first two matches and should have won in Mallorca.
We will not give away anything", Nekounam said according to
Persianfootball.com
"We've only played two games and it's too soon, but we must continue along
the same road.”
Nekounam, one of Asia’s top midfielders, wants to help provide the
direction.
"I always wanted to be the leader, it has taken me many years, I have
confidence in myself which boosts my leadership skill."
"My goal is playing for the team and obtaining good results. I will be
delighted to reach these targets and will work hard to get there, so that
the team does well and get as far as possible."
