GOAL - Striker Vahid Hashemian
has claimed that he in unconcerned at recent criticisim of him and his
Bundesliga club VfL Bochum.
The Iranian, who has been struggling for fitness and form, has yet to score
this season which has so far, been an indifferent one for his team.
The Helicopter returned to Bochum after spells with Bayern Munich and
Hannover.
"The media doesn't concern me and I will only continue my job,” Hashemian
told Iranian news agency IRNA.
“The ratings given are not objective and even a good rating would not be of
importance for me.
"Some of these papers pressurize a single player including myself after each
Bochum loss whilst a team is consisted of eleven players. I don't rely on
media and will only do my tasks ", added the striker.
“Bochum has had two defeats, two draws and one win so far. These results
don't demonstrate the real potential of the team.
"It will be a matter of time to reveal the real ability of the team in the
league competition and during this period Bochum will continue to rise. The
team has a good bench and could potentially reach higher positions in the
table with better performances.”
Hashemian hopes to be in action on Saturday as Bochum visit Energie Cottbus.
