PTV - Iranian star Ali Karimi
has reached an agreement on a move from Qatar's al-Sailiyah to his former
club Persepolis, his agent says.
"The club's [Persepolis'] chief executive, Dariush Mostafavi, reached an
agreement with Karimi after a one-hour-long telephone conversation," said
Ali Karimi's agent, Abolfazl Jalali, in an interview with Fars news agency
on Thursday.
"Karimi will arrive in Tehran on Saturday to sign the contract," he added.
Jalali pointed out that Persepolis would have to pay al-Sailiyah in the next
few days in order to release Karimi from the Qatari club's contract.
Mostafavi had earlier said that Karimi's release fee was estimated to be
about USD 310,000.
The 29-year-old Karimi played for Persepolis between 1998 and 2001.
