PTV - The junior Iranian
national soccer team has won a 4-0 victory over the United Arab Emirates
(UAE) in a friendly match held in Tehran.
Mohsen Talebat scored the opener in the 6th minute of the game which was
held in Tehran's Takhti stadium on Tuesday evening.
Kaveh Rezaei netted two goals in the 59th and 83rd minutes while Akbar Imani
scored in the 77th.
Iran and the UAE are scheduled to play their second friendly game on August
28th.
The Iranian outfit, coached by Hamid Alidousti, is preparing for the AFC
U-16 Championship 2008 finals to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan at the
beginning of October.
Iran will compete with hosts Uzbekistan, Bahrain and Singapore in Group A of
the event.
