China beats Iran in Qatar soccer Friendship Cup

IRNA -The under-23 soccer squad of China defeated Iran's youth team Monday in the Qatar-based Friendship Cup.
In its first match, the Iranian side was beaten 1-0 in the Al-Sadd Stadium.
In another derby, Qatar managed to overcome Thailand 2-1.
Starting January 7, the international soccer tournament,
Friendship Cup, will end next Monday.
The teams of Iran, Qatar, Thailand, China, Egypt, and Tunisia have
taken part in the event. Iran, China, and Tunisia are in the same group.
All the matches are held in Al-Sadd Stadium (at Qatar local time) according to the following program.
January 9
Thailand vs Egypt at 17.45
China vs Tunisia at 19.45
January 11
Tunisia vs Iran at 17.45
Egypt vs Qatar at 19.45
The last four teams will fight on Al-Sadd Stadium pitch on January 14.
