PFDC - The vice president of
Osasuna, Juan Pascual and the Sports Director, Juan Jose Lorenzo, have
presented the third signing of this season in Tajonar facilities, this
afternoon.
Masoud Shojaei the Iranian national team player with 15 international caps
has arrived to Osasuna with his ITC eliberated by Al- Sharjah club.
The contract clause is worth Six million Euros during the first 18 months of
his contract and 3.5 million for the remainder of the contract.
In his first words in front of the media, Shojaei said that "I am very
excited to be here. When I was told to come here,it made me really excited.
I think the Spanish league is the best in the world. "
The Iranian player added: "since Nekounam has been here, Osasuna has been a
well known team in Iran. Neko has always told me very good things about the
club, the locker room, the fans ...".
With regards to his technical abilities, Shojaei said that "I try to help
the team wherever the coach tell's me. I am an offensive player. I consider
myself an offensive midfielder. "
The Iranian player concluded by saying that "the fact that Nekounam is here
is a great support for me. I am ready to work and learn together with him
and the rest of the team. I have come here to work hard. I a am very
hardworking person. "
The Sports Director of Osasuna, Juan Jose Lorenzo said about shojaei that:
"Above all, I hope that he will show us his football skills which we have
seen from him during the two years that we have been following him. We also
hope that he will adjust himself as good as Nekounam did. That will be
important in enabling him to develop his game. He is a player who will bring
us solutions in attack. He can play in two different positions and I think
that he is going to adapt well to our football ".
