MNA - Head of Iran’s Physical
Education Organization (PEO) said emphatically on Sunday that no politician
interferes with the football federation.
Asked if some politicians were interfering with Iran’s football issues,
Mohammad Aliabadi said, “Not at all. I have to say not one of the
governmental members have interfered with Iran’s football, except President
Ahmadinejad who has an essential right to find out what happens in our
sports.”
He also pointed out PEO will support Iranian popular football teams
Persepolis and Esteghlal in the current season, devoting $1,600,000 to them
while they will be able to earn $550,000 on themselves as well.
