PTV - The banned Iranian
soccer legend, Ali Karimi, says he hopes his 'constructive criticism' will
benefit Iran's national soccer team.
Karimi claimed he meant no disrespect to anyone but criticized the country's
soccer federation in the hope of helping to improve the team's current
situation.
According to the former Bayern Munich midfielder, national interests always
have a priority over personal goals and the fact that he has been banned by
the federation is of no importance if it helps the team.
"The victory of the national team can bring happiness to all Iranians. I
criticize only because I am worried about the future of the national team,"
said the 'Asian Maradona' in an interview with Mehr news agency on Saturday.
