PTV - Amir Qalenoei has been
appointed as Esteqlal's new coach, two years after he left the club to coach
Iran's national football team.
Qalenoei replaced Firouz Karimi, who resigned from his post on Thursday.
He will be in charge in Esteqlal's match against Foulad Khuzestan in Iran's
League Cup.
The 44-year-old Qalenoei led Esteqlal to championship in Iran's Premier
League in 2006.
He was appointed as the national football team's coach the same year, but
was dismissed after Iran failed to reach the Asian Cup semifinals in 2007.
He coached Mes-e-Kerman in the Premier League's current season.
