IRNA - An official at Iran's
Football Federation said here Thursday that if the federation and Javier
Clemente Lasaro reach final agreement on details, he will arrive in Tehran
next week as head coach of Iran's National Football Team.
Naser Shafaq, a member of the Football Federation presiding board, told IRNA
that the federation and Clemente have reached agreement on generalities but
the details have to be finalized.
He added, "Clemente is willing to bring his three assistants to Tehran but
the federation has accepted only two of his assistants."
The two sides have many common
points, Shafaq said adding, "It seems Clemente's presence in Iran has been
finalized."
Negotiations with Clemente will continue this afternoon, he said.
