PLDC – The IRI Football
Federation head announced that Arthur George is not the country’s national
team head coach in his opinion and that he intends to choose a new man for
the job.
Having rejected Arthur George as the new IRI national team head coach, Ali
Kafashian said that he intended to choose a foreign man for the job. The new
head coach will be chosen very soon after consultation with Members of the
NT Technical Committee and old hands.
Arthur George, the Portuguese coach was chosen and employed ten days ago by
the IRI Football Federation Transfer Committee after two months of
negotiations with a short list of foreign coaches. There is now less than a
month left to Iran’s first match in the 2010 preliminary world cup series.
The IRI Football Federation head also announced that Abdolrahman Shah
Hossieni, the head of the IRI Disciplinary Committee, and Mehdi
Mohammadnabi, IRI Football Federation Secretary would hold their present
posts.
