PTV - Iran has confirmed that
Jacques Santini and Artur Jorge are the two main candidates for coaching the
country's national football team.
"The two coaches have reached an overall agreement with the Iranian Football
Federation (IFF) Transitory Committee," said IFF interim chairman Mohsen
Safaei Farahani.
"However, Iran has not yet officially contacted them nor laid down the
financial terms of the proposals," he added.
The Frenchman has reportedly asked for 1.5 million euros (£1.1million).
The Iranian national football team, which has been without a coach since
July, will have to play in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers in February.
