GOAL - Eintracht Frankfurt star Mehdi
Mahdavikia has said that the injury he sustained last week is a little more
serious than first thought.
The 2002 Asian Player of the Year tore a muscle in training week and missed
his team’s 5-1 thrashing at Nuremburg on Saturday.
"My injury means that I cannot play for the next two weeks at least,” said
Kia according to Iran Sports Press.
“Unfortunately after our recent training, I injured my hamstring and after
an MRI scan, it was confirmed that its a tear in one of the hamstring
muscles and it requires two weeks of rest."
"I have to rest for few days and I will then start the light running and
after that I'll continue my personal training under team doctors'
supervisions."
The 30 year-old joined Frankfurt in the summer after eight years with
Hamburg.
