IRNA - VfL Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath
praised German-Iranian midfielder Ashkan Dejagah as one of the new team
leaders, the Berlin-based B.Z. newspaper reported Friday.
"Ashkan Dejagah is a great talent who is still at the beginning of his
career. He is training well above average and performed strongly in the last
two matches," Magath said.
"Ashkan shows that he wants to learn. To sign him was the perfect thing to
do. He must change his playing style and pass the ball quicker. He is
presently working on it," the Wolfsburg trainer added.
Pointing to the fact that Dejagah is among three former Hertha Berlin
footballers who are now playing for Wolfsburg, Magath stressed that the trio
is the main pillar of the squad.
Ranked ninth with four points out of three games, Wolfsburg will play at
Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Dejagah signed a three-year deal with Wolfsburg last spring after moving on
a free transfer basis from Bundesliga rivals Hertha Berlin.
