
PTV - The best Iranian football player of the
year was nominated with Farzad Ashoobi winning as the youngest player and
Ali Daei as best coach.
Javad Nekounam, member of Iranian national team and Spanish Osasuna won the
Iranian "Golden Ball" as best player of 2006-2007, with his excellent
performance in 2006 world Cup in Germany, and the 2006-2007 Spanish first
division (La Liga) and the 2007 Asian Cup, he was the right choice for this
title.
After Nekounam, Andranik Teimourian, Bolton Wanderers midfielder, won the
second prize.
Vahid taleb Loo, from Esteghlal club was picked as the best goalkeeper of
the Iranian Premier League (IPL) for 2006-2007. He had good reactions and
saved so many penalties during the season.
As the best defender, Seyed Jalal Hoseini, the Iranian national team star in
the 2007 Asian cup also won a prize. Erfan Olerom, Nigerian striker from Abu
Moslem Mashahd was chosen as best striker of the IPL season.
Saeed Mozafari was named as the best referee by the Iranian "Golden Ball"
jury. Farzad Ashoobi, young midfielder of Persolis, won the season's special
prize. Finally, Ali Daei, the best goal scorer of the world by 109 national
goals, was picked up as the best coach of the season. Daei won the Iranian
Premier League of 2006-2007 with Siapa.
