GOAL - Iranian international Mehdi Mahdavikia
is to choose his next club this week and is sure that it won’t be Borussia
Dortmund.
The 29 year-old has just been released by Hamburg after eight years and is
reportedly being chased by clubs in England, Spain, France and Germany.
He is currently in Mallorca on vacation, fuelling speculation that La Liga
will be his next destination.
"I will decide my future club in the next three or four days,” Mahdavikia
told Iran Sports Press and vowed that he wouldn’t be teaming up with old
Hamburg and current Dortmund coach Thomas Doll.
“I went to Spain for rest and I reject any offers from Borussia Dortmund. I
had enough problems when Thomas Doll was in charge in Hamburg and even if
they offer me a contract, I will reject it for the above reason.
“Of course for family reasons, I prefer to stay at Bundesliga but I will
consider other options too and anything can happen."
